This stunning Renault R4L in original Safari beige. This car has undergone a massive amount of work, it's been a real labour of love with hundreds and hundreds of hours of time invested into bringing it back to this wonderful condition. To be fair, when it came to us it wasn't an absolute wreck, it was still being used as a daily driver but the chassis and bodywork, (which I hasten to add had NEVER had a single bit of paintwork, welding or repair carried out in its life) were starting to show their age so we carried out a sympathetic restoration, stripping it down to its bare bones and cleaning, painting and welding in new parts and replacing whatever it needed. We have a full extensive catalogue of photos and videos to show the work carried out and we have tried to retain as much of the genuine, original Renault parts it left the factory with. We are currently just finishing off the final details but viewings are welcome.
This is a beautiful, comfortable, usable classic which can be driven every day and will keep up with modern trafic and will bring joy to you and those that you pass.
For any info or to arrange viewing call me I'm very much into cars and have my own bodyshop in the South of France and I'm (mostly) into the cars that were around when I was growing up through the 70's and 80's . I moved here and bought up some old 2cv's and whilst they are absolutely iconic and fun, they're not the greatest cars to drive so I got into Renault 4l's which are fantastic to drive, they keep up with modern traffic and are so simple and uncomplicated the go on forever. I currently own a vast collection of cars, Ford Fiesta XR2, Alfa Spider cabriolet, Ford Transit, 4 x 2cv's, 2 x Renault 4L's ... many of which are waiting for renovation but I've had to have an operation that has slowed me down and so some are going.
