Here we have my MX5 S-Special 1. 8 Manual in Laguna Blue, very low 60k miles, around 4 months MOT, no advisories on last MOT. TSW alloys with excellent Yokohama tyes all round. Electric windows, Power steering, soft top with zip out window in excellent condition. This is one of the most desirable MX5 MK1’s having the 1. 8 engine and being the limited S-special edition. Upgraded exhaust with many other small/ nice upgrades. Loads of paperwork with the car including the original Japanese booklet and folder full of Jap history which is super rare for one of these, 4 keys too! Cambelt done in 2021 with receipt.
Condition wise the car is great, most importantly rust wise this is one of the cleanest MX5’s you will find, never had a rust advisory and sills and arches are in very clean condition. Paintwork has a deep shine and colour to it with only the very odd minor mark and blemish – the front passenger wing does have a scuff/ ripple – quote around £150 to sort but it isn’t too noticeable so I though I’d sell cheaper and let the next person decide what they want to do about it. Driving wise the car is amazing, grips the road really well, engine is nice and smooth with lots of power from the 1. 8 engine. Lots of fun to drive and gets loads of admiring looks and comments.
I’m an owner’s club member and MX5 enthusiast, I purchased this due to the lack of rust and low mileage, currently moving house so selling some of my cars to fund next home. Not done many miles since last MOT.
Priced to sell, I have seen similar mileage standard cars advertised for a lot more. With the lack of rust, low mileage and being the desirable 1. 8 S-Special I think this is a bit of a bargain for someone. Viewings and test drives welcomed, strictly no timewasters, if you are not sure about buying an MX5 MK1 then please don’t waste my time or your own. I’m sure the first to view this will buy it.
