Description
This Superalce was imported in 1985 from Italy. Due to a missed registration date it ended up being registered as a new motorcycle from that date, so road tax was payable up until July 2025 (just a couple of months to go!) I last Mot'd it in 2023 and used it for some runs and shows, however due to other projects its been sorn since last summer and it gets taken out for a ride around the fields.
Its in overall very good condition, it starts easily and runs well although it will require a minimal bit of fettling to get it hitting the sweet spot.
Chain is nearly new, not o ring type and has been boiled in special chain boiling grease. Use spray on chain lube as required. However…The bike has an automatic chain oiling system which also lubricates everything rear of the engine including the back of your jacket on a long run. Engine oil bleeds into the clutch compartment of the crankcase. From there it bleeds along a gallery to a little hole over the primary drive sprocket, quite clever but a little messy!
Tyres are very good, Rear inner tube has a liquid anti-puncture in it.
Headlight and pilot are new led. (6volt) Battery is fairly new in hollowed out original case
The brake linings are all recent, modern soft material and should never need attention.
Magneto was completely rebuilt by previous owner, the electrics work very well.
If you are looking for a Superalce, this is a very good one. The bike will come with the 1940's style double wartime exhaust and the later cigar style exhaust. It has lots of luggage etc which I'll include. It also comes with a reproduction WW2 style tool kit case and original WW2 tools. also a WW2 style headlight cover.
It's a fantastic example of a Superalce and is usable. A real head turner and always attracts a crowd.
I've now purchased a loop frame Guzzi Ambassador and need to sell a bike to stick to my one in, one out rule
