Description
Selling my 1994 ‘YJ’ Jeep Wrangler 4. 0L Limited (manual) in metallic green with tan hard top and tan leather interior (‘Limited Spec’).
It is in fantastic, completely original and unmodified condition. I spent the best part of 8 years searching for a Jeep in this specification and condition.
Just passed its MOT with no advisories (expires 26th May 2026).
Specification
- 79, 100 miles (I’ve covered less than 600 miles in 3 years of ownership).
- 4. 0L High Output engine.
- 5 speed manual gearbox.
- Tan hard top (removable) with sun roof. Note: no soft top - though new ones can be purchased online.
- Original panasonic radio / cassette.
- Full tan leather interior.
- 16” ‘lattice' alloy wheels in gold (in excellent condition - no kerbing).
- 4 x Yokohama Geolander A/ T GO15 (with white lettering) tyres fitted (only covered 500 miles so as new).
- 4 Previous owners.
Condition
The Jeep is in fantastic condition, as can be seen from the photos.
- Always garaged (I’ve never driven it on wet roads or in winter to avoid salt).
- Leather interior and carpets in excellent condition, no rips or tears.
- The tan leather on the steering wheel is perfect.
- Interior generally is just fantastic. All interior & instrument lights work (including the puddle lights). No pet or smoke smells.
- There is little to no rust or corrosion on the underside or chassis, other than the typical surface corrosion to the heavy duty parts such as the leaf springs. I always ask the garage to check the chassis over and they tell me there is nothing to be concerned about or requiring any preventative action to be taken. It’s been undersealed at some point in the past. Of course, please undertake your own inspection to be satisfied.
- The paintwork is excellent, and looks completely original. There are some light scuffs and blemishes (almost all of which I believe would polish out). There is one isolated area on the bonnet where the lacquer has been compromised (I suspect due to a bird poo).
- There is a very subtle ding on the bonnet which is noticeable when looking down the bonnet. I would imagine it would pull out with ease.
- There is a small chip (professionally repaired but still noticeable) on the windscreen - there since I bought the Jeep. It has never been flagged on any MOT as outside the important zone.
- Some of the rubber around the rear side windows has separated slightly (common issue) but it’s still completely secure.
- Drives beautifully. Engine always starts first time and sounds wonderful. Silky smooth 4. 0L straight six which have a reputation for their bullet proof reliability.
Service history
Sadly the previous owner lost the service history folder. This almost put me off buying, however it had clearly been well looked after and I wasn’t willing to wait another 8 years to find another!
It turned out to be the right decision - I sent it straight to a highly respected 4x4 specialist and they gave it a fantastic report card - going as far as to say it they felt it was one of the finest examples of a YJ in the country - something I absolutely agree with!

Reason for sale
I currently own four cars and with a young family and busy job, I just don’t have the time to drive and enjoy them (I’ve only covered 600 miles in 3 years in the Jeep). I need the garage space so am making the difficult decision to sell the Jeep.
Price & Inspections
Asking £14, 500 or very nearest offer. I’m in no rush to sell so will not entertain any low offers (at least not before 2026!).
Any questions from genuinely interested parties are welcome. I also welcome inspections and accompanied test drives (though please ensure you have the correct insurance in place if you wish to drive). I will always answer any questions with complete honesty, but please bear in mind I’m not a mechanic (far from it!) and the Jeep is 31 years old, so I cannot offer any guarantee or warranty with the Jeep.
