Description

It's one-of-a-kind super rare mixture of German and Japanese motorcycle, and a very interesting concept for a café racer project. It involves, ideally changing the whole stance to give it a real street-racer look. The builder has 30+ years of expertise in designing custom motorcycles, hence the finish is superb.

History and Paperwork:
• Based upon a 1981 BMW R100RS model
• In current ownership for 8 years
• Service history includes numerous invoices, and all MOT test certificates from 1990 to present
• MOT valid until July 2025, although it's qualified as a historical vehicle, so she's MOT exempt, and road tax exempt
• ULEZ emission tested, and fully ULEZ complaint
• Two original keys and rider's handbook included
• Special number plate: 'MRX 695X'

It was totally stripped back to bare metal frame and just about everything has been modified or swapped out for bespoke or high-end aftermarket parts. The level of finish is superb, though has gone into every detail including the choice of colors, polished finishes, and factoring in the riding position and everyday ergonomics.

It's a stunning looking machine that has been built with an eye for detail and quality, this is evident wherever you look.

The front is from a Suzuki GSX-R 750, with an adjustable alloy top yoke plate to stiffen up the front. This has been rebuilt and filled with new oils, it also came with a very powerful original Suzuki 6 pistons Tokico disc brake, that has been rebuilt with new 21mm master cylinder, new calipers, and of course new break fluids. New steering bearings and wheel bearings was added, obviously all of these efforts was well worth it to achieve this aggressive stance for the bike.
Cosmetic upgrades include a unique fiberglass rear fairing designed to match the under lines of the petrol tank, while look modern, unique fiberglass sport airflow under piece, conveniences also include LED lights with integrated indicators front and rear. There are a whole host of mechanical upgrades from the Suzuki GSX-R 750 derived front end, to the completely rebuilt rear Brembo braking system on the rear.

The condition:
• Unique fiberglass rear fairing designed to match the petrol tank under line
• Rear fairing fits flawlessly with the BMW K series rear break light for a modern appeal
• Bespoke hand-made leather seat upholstery
• New Café Racer headlight with discreet LED indicators, also integrate into the rear fairing, highsider adjustable headlight brackets
• Polished alloy piece mounted underneath tailpiece
• Unique sport airflow piece made of fiberglass and metal brackets mounted to the underside - perfect for the racer theme
• Engine casings have been polished and resprayed with heat resistant mat black paint, frame sandblasted and powder-coated
• Alloy foldable number plate bracket
• Motogadget black grips, and bar end mirrors
• KOSO speedometer
• Original Suzuki alloy clip-ons
• New wiring and electrics

The mechanics:
• 980 cc four-stroke flat-twin
• Five-speed gearbox
• Carburetors conically cleaned, adjusted and balanced
• Valve clearance adjusted
• Front from a Suzuki GSX-R 750, with an adjustable alloy top yoke plate, and oils refilled
• Original Suzuki 6 pistons Tokico disc brake rebuilt with new 21mm master cylinder, new calipers, and brake fluids
• The ignition key has been relocated to the back of the engine, within a bespoke fiberglass panel that sits in place of the original air box
• Gel battery with a bespoke alloy bracket hidden behind the engine
• All fluids changed: gearbox, engine
• Rear Brembo brake rebuilt with master cylinder, and new brake oils
• New steering and wheel bearings added
• New spark plugs
• Chrome silencer with golden fiberglass wrapping
• Couple of K&N sport air filters
• 44cm adjustable chrome rear shock absorbers

The bike has been ULEZ emission tested and is fully compliant going forward, making it a viable and appealing choice for city riders. Additionally, comes with a comprehensive service history, including numerous invoices and all MOT test certificates from 1990 to the present day.

She rides very well indeed, it's comfortable, eminently usable and has proved reliable throughout current ownership. There's ample performance available, along the plenty of torque and of course, grate noise. No MOT advisories were accrued during there latest test, so the bike is ready to ride and enjoy
