Description
I have owned the bike since 2016 when I bought a few bikes that I had always liked when I retired.
It’s in excellent condition and the motor is super strong and I think the best of the eras V twins. I’ve had a 916 and it was underpowered and unreliable compared to this. Yes, they look nice, but the Honda is faster and pulls way better from low down. I do like the TLR though…..
Ok, so there are two kinds of SP, those that smoke and those that don’t. This doesn’t and uses no oil whatsoever.
It has suffered at the hands of some idiot or other who cut the rear mudguard down, so apologies for that, but they can be found if you want to put it back. I might if the bike doesn’t sell. It also has some adjustable levers, but they are actually quite nice and replacements are easy to find as they are generic to loads of Hondas. It also has more or less brand new front discs as it had wavy things on which are in the bin. Viper cans, but I have the originals, bike comes with one or the other, but the Vipers do sound wonderful.
Finally, it does have one other change, Harris fully adjustable rear sets and actually, they are beautifully made and, funnily enough, allow you to tailor them to suit style, size or rider, arthritic joints etc, so probably worth keeping.
So, a really strong SP that is just fabulous to ride, and mechanically perfect; just the “tail tidy” to resolve, but, who knows, you might like it like that.
