VW T5 LWB Camper/ Day Van. Reg: 04/ 05/ 2007. Two former owners. Fully automatic gearbox, powered by the 2. 5 ltr 130bhp diesel engine (no expensive cam belt issues). T5 5. 1 facelift front end (so looks much newer) fitted with Sportline trim, Sportline steering wheel. Long wheel base providing that essential additional space. 18" alloy wheels, privacy glass, side bars. Two single RIB crash tested rear passenger seats, twin front passenger seat and Captains driver seat with arm rests (so seats 5 belted), radio and reverse camera. Cab aircon (rare in these vans) and immobiliser. Tailgate version (best for campers).
Insulated and carpeted rear. Rising roof with fitted bed board, rear bench seats custom fit with storage, which convert into a small double bed (van width) or links to the passenger seats to create two very long single beds. Rear curtains. 240v hook up and cable with internal socket, diesel blown heating, porta potty, ancillary 12v system for roof lights and 2 x USB charging points in rear. Wind out Fiamma Awning. Towbar and ball (Alko type).
Since our ownership it has been maintained and serviced by reputable garages and VW specialists. Prior servicing is not known as the dealer who supplied it had lost the service book.. Recent work (last 12 months) includes new front brake callipers, new power steering pump and reconditioned steering rack, major full service and numerous other parts. Full MOT until 30/ 11/ 2025 no advisories.
The bodywork is in good condition with only a few small blemishes. The wheels have suffered a little around the outer rims from kerbside parking but otherwise they are sound and all tyres good also. One of the sliding side window catches has recently broken (but its still secure). Both side mirrors have some slight damage to them but it doesn't effect their use. (see images for all)This was bought by my son in 2021 as their main vehicle and for family holidays with his wife and two small children. It came from dealer Motorlands - details above. He added the rear PlyGuys bench seat/ bed (cost over £1000 ) for the kids to sleep on whilst they slept up in the roof. My wife and I have also used it on a number of occasions for long weekends and find the two single bed option best suits us. The rear diesel heater works a treat so we have used it even in colder months. The rear bed/ bench seats can easily be removed with just a few screws leaving a large luggage area if required for other uses when not camping. These vans are very versatile and can be modified and converted is so many ways to suit individual requirements, yet can also be used as day to day transport.
