1969 VW Beetle 1500 with only 2 previous owners
We deal in classic cars but this was bought for my wife and I to enjoy over the summer , this car was chosen because of its unrestored originality , the initial plan was to create a ‘Cal Look’ Beetle but I just can’t bring myself to modify such an original car so we’re offering it up for sale in the hope that someone will enjoy the car as it is .
This little car has only had two previous owners and the last one had it from 1986 and it’s was used as his ‘daily’ car. I can’t imagine buying a car these days and thinking ‘right that’ll do me for the next 40years!?’
Having driven many air cooled VW’s over the years I always wonder if they will complete the journey but I would be confident driving this anywhere, it starts instantly hot or cold , picks up well and cruise’s at 60MPH with ease. Gear change is good for an air cooled VW , I mean it’s awful compared to any other car but it’s good for one of these.
The bodywork and paint is largely original , the wings look like they have been replaced at some point but everything else looks original.
The interior is in excellent condition for 96k miles and 56 years old, floor pans etc all look good.
As Derek from Bangers and Cash would say ‘ they’re only original once’
