The Appeal
The Volkswagen Beetle is an undeniable icon of motoring. With their characteristic shape and the brand’s rule of only changing a model when required, the legendary Bug remained in production for decades and quickly became a legendary dominator in the European small car market. Whether you see it as a busy little city car or a laid-back surf mobile - or hell, as Herbie - it’s hard to deny the influence these motors have had on popular culture.
This example has been beautifully kept, with the lesser-spotted Karmann cabriolet design, and the ‘68-introduced exterior filler cap. The result is a stylish period car that’s ready and waiting to hit the road and looks in fine-enough fettle to stay there for another half-century.
Car indicated 269km, however, this is on a five-figure odometer
It’s therefore likely to be a 100, 269km car considering its age but we have since changed it the odometer showing a different mileage.
