A very original New Zealand new Austin Sheerline, engine number ID9346, chassis number DS18625 showing 14 owners in it’s 73 years, three of which looks like dealerships. I’ve owned Lizzy (due to her number plate - LZ1952) for about three years now and have thoroughly enjoyed her, buying her sight unseen in Duniden on the New Zealand South Island and driving her back to Auckland, a trip of over 800 miles, which she completed as if it was a weekly occurrence for her.
Austin Sheerlines were sold in numbers during New Zealand & Australia’s wool trade boom but is a rare sight these days.
Very original interior that shows great patina, original radio, recast steering wheel, semaphores working off the steering wheel and self-cancels.
Very usable classic that always draws a lot of attention.
