Description
Mabel is our 1963 AZAM 2CV. She's a "high days and holiday"s car in our household having acquired her in France and driven her back to the UK in 2021. She has an uprated engine, front disc brakes, uprated headlights and has been maintained by Cambs 2CV.
The interior is green, with the usual rubber hoop seat fasteners and for any prospective purchasers the bodywork is good with a little surface rust, the floor and footwells were previously reinforced and welded, she doesn't have heating and I have a file of work undertaken by Bill Gale 2CV in Southport.
Most recently, (Sept 2025) she has had a new 12V wiring loom, replacement discs, new speedo and fuel gauge ( £1500) fitted by Will at Cambs 2CV. A lifelong ambition for my wife to have a 2CV we finally found one and drove the 600km back to the UK, stopping for great food and obligatory picnics, with our removable seats the full journey featured in 2CV magazine. Mabel is quite unique, she has a full lift rear hatch (Azam) which apparent enabled the original farmer owner to transport sheep on the rear flatbed...
