Tidy Moonstone blue Peugeot 306 Meridian estate - based in South East London. When did you last see one of these?
No rust, good tyres all round (about 4000 miles) and great paint. It has the usual small blemishes here and there commensurate with age but altogether a very presentable, usable modern classic. The car has been perfectly reliable in my ownership, starting every time, running smoothly up to temp and not once overheating in London's shambolic traffic. The half leather interior is in great nick with no tears or discolouration and is an incredibly comfortable place to be. The folding load cover, jack and original mats are all present as well as three sets of keys.
Being the 1. 6, four speed automatic this car is ULEZ compliant and happily keeps up in modern traffic. The small footprint and airy greenhouse have made the 306 a great city car whilst seating four adults comfortably and hauling plenty of gear on trips out of town. Routinely returns MPG in the mid thirties.
Recent maintenance highlights include:
January 2025 - Front discs and pads refreshed.
December 2024 - Oil and filters changed at 57k
May 2024 - New Kumho tyres.
January 2023 - Timing belt, thermostat, and water pump changed at 43k.
December 2023 - Rear brake cylinders and pads refreshed.
Slight demerits only for the small dent under the offside brake light courtesy of a previous owner and the slight exhaust rattle when taking on some SE London's more precipitous speed bumps.
Emigration forces sale and as this is my daily the mileage will increase. 306s are increasingly uncommon, inexpensive to run and maintain and really rather pretty so come and have a look. There aren't a lot about that haven't been to the moon and fewer still that wont cost you £12. 50 just to drive to the shop.
