Not your usual Starfire, this BSA has been fitted with a Tiger 100SS engine from a Triumph. It has the high level exhausts and has been styled as a Greenlaner, although it has Michelin road tyres.
I have owned it for 3 years, but it was converted before I bought it. I have some history, MOTs, receipts etc. from my ownership and the previous owner.
It is generally in good condition although the frame paint is scratched in places, and would improve it cosmetically if this was done.
An unusual feature for a British bike is that everything on it works! This includes indicators, lights, horn, ammeter, speedo, rev counter although it does leave a few spots of oil after a long run. It also has ElectrexWorld electronic ignition and a Motobatt battery so starts easily. Although the frame and engine numbers obviously do not match up, they do match the V5 and there is a certificate to back this up. I bought it as a cheap starter British bike to restart my interest from my first BSA bantams I rode at 16.
Although it has needed a few spares along the way, they have been relatively cheap and easily sourced. Most expensive was a rebore and new Hepolite pistons last February,
It has been fitted with the larger twin leading shoe front brake, Hagon rear dampers, and a spin off oil filter which I have just changed with fresh Castrol GTX. I also have a receipt for a new Amal 376 monobloc in 2018.
It has interesting number plate, and only needs insuring as it is tax and MOT exempt although I had one done when I first bought it.
It also has a low seat height, but wide bars making it easy to control if, like me, you are nearer 5 feet than 6 feet!
