I have loved owning my Accord, but more imminent projects await so I am unfortunately parting ways with it in the hopes it will go to another loving home.
Built in conjunction with the Rover 600, this Honda Accord CE8 generation is the rarer of the two, but arguably a much nicer car.
Originally purchased from August Motors Sailsbury in 1996, it stayed with the original owner until 2017. It then stayed in Oxfordshire until 2024 when I bought it. All of this is documented in the extensive history folder including the original bill of sale.
Being an LS, it’s the mid spec trim offered on the Accord. It gave you alloy wheels, a sunroof and a few other extras. Many were considered disposable, however this example finished in Woodland Green has survived miraculously. You will struggle to find a tidier CE8, as well as one boasting a low mileage of just 69, 250 miles.
It was a nice car when I bought it, however I have since done a few mechanical and cosmetic improvements to bring the car back to a nearly-new standard. It could be ideal for daily road use, car shows or even just a great investment.
This Accord drives as excellently as you’d expect, the 2. 0L engine is reliable and plentiful to use. It cruises excellently, I used it as my daily driver for a few months. Plus, with a recent timing belt, genuine Honda water pump, brakes, front suspension, driveshafts less than 4, 000 miles ago, it doesn’t require any work. As well as the clutch, gearbox and suspension which all feel great and align with the low mileage.
All the common corrosion areas are totally rust-free. The car still retains its factory green underseal.
The car passed an MOT in May 2025 with no advisories and now is ready to be used and enjoyed.
Condition wise, it is totally time warp with an immaculate interior and exterior. It has been fully detailed inside and out.
The interior has nice features such as the wood trim, velour seats, electric sunroof, 4 electric windows, heated electric mirrors and air conditioning. Everything inside works as it should.
The spare wheel, tool kit and jack are all present and unused, still retaining their original zinc coating.
It still retains many original features such as the August Motors Honda dealer plates, Pioneer cassette player, 2 original Honda keys and a book pack along with a large paperwork file including service history and the original bill of sale. All the paperwork confirms the mileage to be genuine, and coincides with the condition of the car. There are invoices for receipts and MOT certificates too.
This is a rare opportunity to own one of the few surviving CE8s in the UK.
