Description
A design classic, the original Fiat 500 (nicknamed the Topolino or Little mouse) was engineered by Dante Giacosa. Powered by a 569cc engine allied to a 4 speed gearbox with syncromesh on 3rd and 4th, it boasted a 55mph top speed and 45 mpg. First registered by Manchester City Council on April 13th 1937, this very original car has been cared for by a number of owners and there is much documentation re ownership and work done. The car does have some noise from the gearbox in 2nd gear. Some work has been done on this but I have been unable to check for improvement as , because of my age, I am now unable to get insurance. Which is one reason for sale.
