1988 Jaguar XJ40 Sovereign 3. 6 Auto for sale.
Decided to sell my XJ40 as I also have 2 other cars and simply don't have enough time to use them all (also have a Jaguar XK8 and Daimler Double Six)
Car is an early XJ40 with a working digital dash. It has a number of extras and looks great in Solent Blue with Isis Blue leather.
Comes with the following, all of which work:
4 x electric windows
Electric sunroof
Cruise control
Trip computer
Central locking
ABS (rare in 1988!)
Car has benefited from the following work
1 year MOT (expires 13/ 6/ 2026)
FULL service including filters, good quality oil (not cheap rubbish) distributor cap, rotor arm, HT leads and distributor cap.
New headliner and windscreen
New battery
4 matching Vredenstein tyres
Reconditioned steering rack
New front discs and pads
Plus other parts as needed.
Car is in excellent condition, it retains the full 80s experience with its digital dash and full tool kit.
It drives lovely, although it does benefit from regular use.
Being 37 years old it's got a few blemishes and is not concours standard. It has benefitted from regular polishing and gets positive attention when I attend various shows.
For the full asking price I will include a few spares various switches and a twin headlight conversion.
