Description

power sunroof, leather interior, wood trim, centre armrest, power seats, power windows front and rear, power mirrors, alloy wheels, tow hitchThe first Range Rover, or Range Rover Classic as it was later known, is one of the longest running production series, not only in Land Rover history, but of all car types. Thanks to its functional and comfortable body, it was produced from 1969 to 1996. When it was launched, it was aptly named A Car for all Reasons, which was apt: it had a top speed of over 160 km/ h, could accelerate to 60 mph in less than 10 seconds (sports car performance at the time) and was also very dynamic due to its high torque. It could also tow 3. 5 tonnes and its permanent all-wheel drive, then rare differential lock, high ground clearance and ground clearance made it excellent off-road, while its spacious interior and comfortable seats made it more comfortable than usual. The lower part of the boot door folds down, making it a practical and stylish solution for riding, hiking or hunting. The driving experience is still exceptional, it's fast, dynamic, the comfort is simply superb, the relative light weight means it can do almost anything, not just accelerate but also off-road, and it doesn't fall into the biggest fault of today's luxury SUVs, which is that they become too heavy. It's no use having three diffusers in a G Merc or some Toyotas if they weigh a ton. A good off-roader will go almost anywhere on dry roads, but this is not true in muddy conditions, where good rubber and light weight are really the essentials. Given that it really was a good all-round car, but at the same time it was sold at a peppercorn price, it became the car of choice for the aristocracy and still is today. Interestingly, it was not shown in America until the 1987 Los Angeles Auto Show, 18 years after its European release, and even then it was a bomb! Also due to its favourable characteristics and exceptional off-road capabilities. The V8 versions and the long wheelbase and richly equipped VOGUE models are the most valuable. This example for sale has covered only 90, 000 kilometres. It comes with extras over and above the usual Vogue equipment, overall: air conditioning, automatic gearbox, electric sunroof, electric seats, classic wheels, tow hook, electric windows, etc. Technically it is in excellent working order, its paintwork is uniform, with one or two minor bodywork repairs, but these can all be remedied. The interior is very nice, seats are surprisingly intact, upholstery is intact, dashboard is not cracked, whole interior is very aesthetic, wood trim needs restoration. The car originated in the Netherlands and was looked after by its previous, apparently careful, owner. It is also a good car to drive, a real and pure pleasure to drive, the dynamics are very entertaining. In price comparison, models brought up to immaculate condition start at 15 million forints (40, 000 euros). This car can be restored to this level at no significant cost. Definitely worth coming to see, take it for a test drive if there is serious interest!
