Description
This is Walt. He was an Aussie RHD import (imported by the owner before us) and we had him fully restored after we bought him in 2014. This involved a complete strip down and respray in standard VW Orient Blue/ Pastel White) and fitting out with a Westfalia style camper interior. We have lots of photos to show what was done together with full service history for the period we have owned him, plus some interesting paperwork from his time down under.
He is in very good condition but does have a few cosmetic rust spots starting to appear. The chassis is very sound, with waxoyl under-sealing applied every year under our ownership.

- 1798cc dual-carburettor petrol engine with only 12, 346 miles
- Genuine right hand drive from manufacture (with sliding door on the correct side!)
- Westfalia style camping conversion (full width rock and roll bed, 2-ring gas stove, sink/ tap with water storage container, space and power for fridge or electric coolbox)
- Propex gas interior heater
- 12V leisure system (battery, charging system, circuit breakers, four 13A sockets, two 12V sockets)
- Cobra (thatcham) alarm system with immobiliser
- Tow bar with electrics
- Empi replacement gear shift, which now shifts much better than the original
- Seat belts front and rear
- DVLA historic vehicle (No MOT required and £0 road tax)As an Australian import, Walt has been largely rust-free throughout his life, especially the underneath, which is in excellent condition. After a full respray in 2014, he is only now showing some minor cosmetic rust spots. Other than that, he is in very good condition, as the photos show.
