Just been serviced ( September 2025) I have owned this car for nearly three years having brought it from a friend in 2022. He spent a lot of time on the restoration, which included re-upholstering the front leather seats and lots of mechanical work (receipts available). Since owning I have had replaced fuel lines, full service and new rear suspension alongside work to water seal the boot area (receipts available). Car has passed its MOT valid until May 2026. Bodywork in very good condition alongside interior. Work required is to replace a number of parking sensors and the soft close door (passenger side) does not operate as 'soft close'. The CL of this era is considered a classic and often referenced with regards to Bruno SACCO the chief engineer at Mercedes during the time when they were built to last. I brought it because I wanted to have within my lifetime a car with more than 6 cylinders! The V8 engine is a joy to listen to from the moment it starts up and shifts the car with ease. The ride is so smooth, soundproofing good from the double glazed windows and the driving position versatile from the electronic seats and steering wheel. A lot of car for the money.
