Subaru Impreza P1 – Number 0992
Please take a moment to read the full advert before getting in touch.
For sale is my Subaru Impreza P1 – a brilliant opportunity to get behind the wheel of a true modern classic. It’s attractively priced to reflect its condition and background, and I’ve done my best to give a clear and honest overview below.
Vehicle Overview
The car is a Category C. While I don’t have photos of the original damage, the previous owner (who had the car from 2018) invested heavily in restoring it, including over £7, 800 worth of professional bodywork in 2020, with photos and receipts to show the work carried out.
Mot till March 2026
The shell has done 175, 000 miles, but in 2021, a completely new engine was fitted by Engine Tuner in Plymouth, which included:
Engine Tuner 2. 1 stroker (thick wall rally block)
Wossner forged pistons
RCM precision turbo
Front-mount intercooler
ACL race bearings
RCM head gaskets
Mishimoto radiator
Competition Clutch Stage 2 & lightened flywheel
Link4 ECU
740cc injectors
K-Sport front brakes
Defi pod 3x gauges & controller
Turbosmart VTA BOV
Piper Ross induction kit
Hamur Blast plates
Decat with factory P1 silencer
wrapped headers
updated fuel pump and oil pump
ABS rings, sensors & hubs all replaced with new OEM parts during rebuild along with all new Subaru engine hoses.
And more (all documented with receipts)
The car has recently been back to Engine Tuner, where it was dyno tested at 369BHP on low boost. With a few supporting mods, there’s potential to see up to 420BHP, so there’s plenty of scope for the next owner to take it further if desired. (previous owner had 412BHP with print out)
Defi pod 3x gauges & controller,
original 17” alloys, Michelin Pilot Sports all round,
K-Sport 8 pot front brake kit inc. lines & rotors. EBC Yellow Stuff pads all round.
Additional Maintenance
New crankshaft sensor (2025)
Fuji Racing braided clutch hose (£600 – fitted March 2024)
Serviced by Engine Tuner in March 2022, April 2023, and March 2025
Features & Extras
Genuine Prodrive mud flaps
New Prodrive mats (front, rear, and boot)
Various Prodrive badges included
Original folder with a decent stamped service history
Large folder of receipts showing extensive investment over the years
It also comes with several rare P1-specific parts – just the badge alone regularly sells for over £400.
Condition Summary
The paintwork would benefit from at the vey least a machine polish to bring back its shine (the photos are recent but close up it is tired)
Some light scratches
Small dents on one wing
Slight bubbling on the rear arches
A patch of paint near the rear window has lifted
Side strips are fitted on one side, and removed on the other, a full replacement set is included
The Stage 2 clutch is firm and grabs quickly – something to be aware of if you’re not used to performance clutches
This is a solid, running P1 that you can enjoy straight away while bringing it up to spec at your own pace. These cars continue to appreciate in value, and with some TLC, this one has great potential. I had planned to use it over the summer and work on the body over winter, but with other projects (including a Clio V6), I’ve decided to pass it on.
Location & Viewings
The car is located in North Cornwall. I’m happy to arrange viewings during the day or evening, either at home or my workplace – I work six days a week, so just give me a bit of notice so I can make time.
If you’re genuinely interested, I’d be happy to show you everything and answer any questions.
Please, no silly offers, i am aware what the car is worth and the value of items if decided to break, which seems an absolute shame.
Thanks for taking the time to read – I hope this P1 finds a great new home!
