Inside & out this is in amazing condition for its age, no usual Jimny rust as has been dry stored since new (see photos of boot floor, under rear seats and behind headlights. Everything works, electric windows, electric mirrors etc, High & Low range gearbox runs like new.
This is a very rare Stealth Edition, I can’t find any evidence of another one of these models in the UK, and has all of the optional extras from the factory.
The original owner (25yrs) had full main dealer service history, however, the interim owner (not the brightest spark) lost all of it, so I’m afraid that it comes with only the receipts for what I have spent on it. Any inspection is welcome and encouraged (more details on condition lower down).

I am located just outside Exeter vehicle will need collecting or I can deliver anywhere in the UK for £1. 50 a mile plus a trip to the nearest train station. If I am delivering, I will need full cleared payment for the Vehicle and the delivery before setting off.

1999 Suzuki Jimny JLX (Stealth Edition)

It had one owner from 1999 to 2024, this gentleman stopped driving in 2017 and the car was stored in his garage before his death in 2024 prompted his family to sell it at auction, where unfortunately someone who wasn’t aware of what he had bought didn’t treat it well, and due to gaskets drying out during the years it wasn’t driven, a leaky oil pump caused some serious overheating and by the time I rescued it from him, the engine needed replacing.
I have had the engine replaced along with associated works (new radiator, water pump, belts etc) done by my excellent local mechanic. I have also had all brake pipes replaced as they were an advisory on the previous MOT.
I have driven 1, 000 miles since the new engine was fitted, and it is running like silk. It had a full flush and new high performance oil when the MOT was done.
I have had it comprehensively checked over by my mechanic, who fixed anything that needed doing, so it comes with 12months MOT, with no advisories, and a perfect emissions reading.
It isn’t perfect, as it is 26 years old so has a couple of small dents and scratches, but they are barely noticeable with the overall condition being so good.
It currently has a modern bluetooth stereo that I fitted, but it will also come with the original Clarion casette player.
This is a very special Jimny and needs to be seen to be appreciated. It was originally purchased from Jones of Chelmsford (Suzuki main dealer), and still has all of the original branded items, mats, key ring, sticker, tax disc holder, spare when cover
