Loads Of Trouble Usually Serious really isn't the case here, it's been no trouble at all.
I live in a town of 12k people and, as far as I'm aware, there are no other Lotuses! This is an Elite club (pun intended)!
12 Months MOT
Just serviced with new cambelt and water pump, coolant and oil.
New ventilated and grooved front discs and greenstuff pads. New rear greenstuff pads.
New Exhaust back box
Good Toyo tyres all round.
Recent Hood.
I've owned for 9 years and in that time it's had:
- Polybushed throughout
- Adjustable dampers and new springs
- Driveshafts rebuilt
- Gear change cables
- Suspension set up by South West Lotus
- Recent Lanogaurd application to suspension arms
- New waist/ window seals
- Door and rear speakers
I've fitted an Elise steering wheel and gear knob. The former has made the steering much nicer (quicker) and thanks to the PAS it's not much heavier. The latter is smaller then the rather horrible original gear knob. However both the original items will be included.
It has a Blaupunkt DAB/ CD
14 stamps in the service book last was 19 Dec 2013 on 39, 300 miles. I bought it in May 2016 with 39, 500 miles and have serviced it myself ever since. It now has 61k, so it's been used but not excessively.
Was Dino anti-corrosion treated when new.
If you check the MOT history you'll see that this year it failed on emissions, and then passed shortly after. This is because the MOT tester had the emissions tester on the wrong settings, and only realised after he'd failed it!!
it comes with a device to harvest the ECU data while you drive, you can then feed this data into the ElanScan software (freely available).
It comes with a huge folder of invoices etc, and the original handbook.
When I'm not using it, it's usually stored in my parent's garage or car port.
I'm selling because I need something easier to drive - an automatic with PAS, and easier to get in and out of! If you have a classic that fits the bill I could be tempted to swap. A Rover P6 or something like that perhaps?
