For sale I have my road legal MK2. 5 Turbo MX-5 track car. It has 119K on the clock and comes with full history, and 12 months MOT. It was built entirely by the previous owner and was built to do one thing and that is go fast… its running around 276hp with a dyno print out and comes with a whole host of decent quality track focused upgrades to help handle the power. These include:
- 4 pot wilwood Dynalite front calipers
- Carbotech xp10 pads
- braided lines
- LSD
- Nankang NSR-2 Semi Slicks all round
- HSD 16 point adjustable coilovers
- Sparco Sprint bucket seats on
- Adjustable rails
- 5 point race harnesses
- GCF Fabrications roll cage
- Quick shift
- RMD racing wheel
Engine wise spec is as follows:
- ME221 ECU tuned by Track N Road
- TD05 Turbo
- Pierburg Boost Controller
- Upgraded clutch
- G19 Manifold and sports cat (road legal)
- Bosch 550cc Injectors
- Walbro 190L/ ph Fuel pump
- 50mm Upgraded radiator
- Oil and power steering coolers with - oil filter housing relocation
- Turbosmart water temp, oil temp, oil pressure, and boost gauges
The car has done 119K however I’ve put an engine in it and that has done just 94K with full service history on top of that its just had an oil change. Everything works as it should and this thing is an absolute animal and you need to have you wits about you when you’re on it.
Its been mapped safely however I’ve been told 276 is a little high for a stock engine so I’d recommend getting it de tuned or going forged. Despite that though you could quite happily drive this thing to Scotland and back tomorrow trouble free.
If I was keeping this I’d like to get the engine bay harness tidied up a bit and also the sills could do with some attention soon. Bodywork is also not the tidiest with the front bumper being the worst bit really however all of that is shown in the walk round video.
IMPORTANT: I’m selling due to the fact that I’ve gone travelling and, due to space, can’t keep the car. Given the highly modified nature of this plus the fact this is my own personal track car there will be no warranty with this at all and it will be sold as seen as a private sale with no warranty, having said this please come and spend as much time as youd like checking over the car ect.
