Description
This rare and elegant Ferrari Mondial 3. 2 Cabriolet is one of just 51 Right-Hand Drive examples ever produced – and believed to be one of only two finished in Grigio Metallizzato. Complemented by light grey leather seats and black carpets, hood, and tonneau cover, it’s a striking and beautifully balanced grand tourer.
Delivered new in April 1988 and first registered on May 1st, this is a true one-owner car with just 37, 800 miles from new. It was sold and originally serviced by Maranello Concessionaires in Egham, and has only ever been driven by its owner or Ferrari-trained mechanics. Before the car left for France in 1998, Maranello sadly lost the original service book during a routine service and did not replace it. They no longer retain records from that time, but numerous invoices remain and the car has always been maintained by Ferrari experts.
The car belongs to David Mindel, a successful composer known for his work with Olivia Newton-John, Barry Manilow, and numerous TV and radio jingles for the BBC and ITV, as well as the UK’s 2015 Eurovision entry. David is now 78 and has reluctantly decided to sell the car due to age and ill health. He is a dear friend, and I am selling the car on his behalf, but he is more than happy to speak directly with serious buyers to verify its provenance and exceptional condition.

This car represents the last Enzo-era Ferrari V8 2+2, before power steering and electronic driver aids. It delivers a raw, analogue driving experience and remains beautifully responsive through its 5-speed manual gearbox.
And yes – it’s had a few famous passengers too. Movie star Jane Seymour has enjoyed a ride or two while visiting David and his wife in the South of France.
She runs like a dream, and the car is in beautiful original, one-owner condition inside and out - the pictures don’t do the car justice. A rare opportunity to own a truly special Ferrari with known history, originality, and character.
Enquiries welcome – serious buyers only. Full service and cambelt at Bell Sport & Classic Ferrari specialists in July 2025.
This Mondial is everything a classic Ferrari should be – elegant, analogue, and full of character. David bought it brand new in 1988 and has cherished it for over 36 years. It’s one of just 51 RHD examples ever made, and incredibly rare in Grigio Metallizzato. What really sets it apart is its provenance – a single, enthusiast owner who used it only for pleasure, kept it garaged in the South of France, and maintained it to a faultless standard. It drives beautifully, has a brilliant history, and even has a touch of showbiz flair (ask about Jane Seymour!). It's the kind of car you just know is special the moment you see it – and you’d be hard-pressed to find a more original, better-kept example.
