Description
This Moto Guzzi is what the last version of the Le Mans should have been!
It is an extensively, no expense spared, customised version of the fuel injected 1, 100 Sport. Detailed, styled and built by a professional, hands on engineer, who is a lifelong Guzzi enthusiast. This machine has to be closely inspected and ridden to fully appreciate it's beauty and performance.
Mechanically, the engine, main frame, forks and swinging arm are original parts of the bike, much of the rest is custom made, such as - wheel hubs fully cnc machined and laced to aluminium rims. Seat unit, petrol tank, front mudguard and side panels are all created in sheet aluminium. Fairing and screen grp pattern Mk1 Le Mans. Rear framework is a unique fabrication. There are numerous specially made parts, such as the foot pedals and bracketry, positioning of the oil cooler, exhaust pipes, instrument pod, handlebars, fork yolks, bell mouths etc. The list goes on.
This machine totally outclasses the standard Moto Guzzi V11 Sport in terms of rideability and performance. It has a Power Commander unit in the electrical system, which has been set up on a rolling road, to maximise torque and usable power to make the bike into a great performer on the track and road.
The paintwork is beautiful as is the exhaust note from the 70's Ducati silencers. Engine and gearbox are finished to a sand cast appearance The battery is mounted under the gearbox. The appropriate personal number plate is included. The bike is fully ready to ride. The original bike was a damaged, low mileage, 2003, V11 Sport, bought in 2015. I created this machine from it, because I have the skills, facilities and interest to do so.
It is up for sale due to lack of use. In perfect condition, has never been out in the rain and has been kept as a work of art, indoors for the last eighteen months!
