1964 Iso Rivolta IR300

The car is a very early example of an ISO RIVOLTA IR300. Built and completed on 26th March 1964 and delivered new in Germany in that same year.

The car is incredibly original, only having 2 previous owners and spending most of its life stored in Johannesburg South Africa. The car still retains its original owners manuals, tool roll (including its original BETA spanners), jack, spare wheel, original radio unit and brand new unused ISO original spare keys. The sunroof still works perfectly as it should too. It still has its original leather interior and nothing has been removed or changed from the original car. It is, as it came from the factory. The car even wears it's original TRG number plates (TRANSVAAL RANDBURG), dating back to the 70's.

I have owned the car for seven years and tried to retain as much of the cars originalilty as possible. The car has been resprayed in its original colour about 6 years ago and it presents very well. The car has not been restored at all and it is in its original state. Which I believe really adds to the vehicles provenance and appeal. ISO only made 797 cars. Approximately around 300 cars survive and mine is the only known car to exist in Africa. It has been out of sight, as it was stored for 52 years, before being recommisioned, further adding to its intrigue.

I have only done what was needed, for example new Fredenstein Classic tyres, wheels recomishoned, redone the brake system, redone the cooling system, had the fuel tank cleaned and lined, new exhaust, new fuel pumps and new filters fitted, new body seals and rubbers fitted, new oil filter and oil service ECT.

In the last year, the car has been taken to various meets and shows since it was recommisioned, people have absolutely loved seeing it. Mostly as many people would have never had the opportunity to see one in real life, especially here in South Africa.
