1961 Alvis TD21 Series I DHC
UK home market car, 1 of just 785 Park Ward-bodied Series 1 TD21s of which there were only 192 DHC examples in Graber / Alvis ‘Piasio Green’.
Benefits from meticulous engine-out restoration. The work incorporates several choice upgrades including an uprated cooling system, stainless steel exhaust system and the fitment of a five-speed manual gearbox - like those found in Series II examples.
Other noteworthy specifications include rare adjustable reclining seats, impressive 15'' stainless steel wire wheels with correct Michelin XVS radial tyres, retro-fitted water temperature gauge fitted beneath the dashboard, original radio reconditioned with modern components and MP3 connectivity, power assisted steering and original twin Lucas driving lights.
History file contains original sales order and copy of Alvis build record along with comprehensive restoration files. This details receipts from Wren Classics to the sum of £47, 700 between 2014-16 including 500 man hours along with other receipts in excess of £8, 500. Owned since 2018, the file further contains bills of £12, 000 for further refinement during ownership.
The car starts effortlessly and drives magnificently, as you'd expect given recent specialist investments. MOT’d until 28th April 2026 and ready to go.
