Description
Owned by the previous keeper for 9 years and during this time no expense has been spared in the restoration and upkeep of this beautiful car. The car has been continuously garaged since the restoration and has been driven in fair weather only, trouble free, on a regular basis.
The car and engine have had a bare metal respray in the last 3 years and the bodywork still has no marks.
All interior trim has been changed from the vinyl to leather including the dash and door cappings. The wheels are original steels and have had full restoration. The interior is in great condition with everything working as it should. The car will come with the Mohair hood, a Tonneau cover and a half tonneau.
There is no rust anywhere on the vehicle. It starts and drives first time, every time.
The front suspension has been changed to double wishbone with improved 4 pot brakes. A full engine rebuild was undertaken last year including an unleaded conversion. The underside is completely solid and undersealed.
A new mileometer was fitted at the time of the restoration and is now showing 2500 miles. The original was showing 57000 miles. The time and expense that has gone into this beautiful MG is incredible. The lengths gone to include new octagon shaped ignition keys have been cut with the car registration teched onto a fob, 'MG' logo brake, clutch and throttle pedals fitted. The original reversing lights deleted for a smoother rear end and the look of a Mk1 car. New MG logo carpets, clear front indicator lenses and a replacement early style roof frame and roof, the list goes on. The double wishbone front suspension, rear SPAX upgrade and the improved 4 pot brakes really improve the performance.
The stereo has a period correct look but is a modern DAB unit.
The vehicle history file is nothing short of incredible. Every service since 2017 has been detailed in a log and the relevant receipt numbered and cross referenced. Likewise every part used is separately listed. The total recently spent exceeds £35, 000
