I am listing my much loved 1968 Volvo Amazon 123gt in very original condition.
JUST PAST ITS MOT. Even though its exempt I had an MOT test done for the buyers peace of mind.
These 123gt's are very rare and do not come up for sale often. It has a 4 speed gearbox with electric overdrive that works well. It has the original engine and the number stamped on the block matches the number on the logbook. It has never been used for rallying. It was part of a 40 car collection owned by a collector before I bought it.
I have done a lot of work to it recently at a significant cost. Large history folder.
Here is what I have done:
Bilstein shocks all around with progressive rate springs which are a bit lower than stock from Rob at Amazon cars. This makes it look and handle a lot better while still being drivable.
The whole braking system has been overhauled. New genuine lockheed servo. Brand new brake callipers, new discs, mintex performance pads, new shoes and all pins, clips, springs etc.
New wheel bearings all around.
Rebuilt the diff.
Replaced front and rear main seals.
New clutch.
New rocker cover and sump Gaskets.
Service.
New Kumho tyres recently fitted.
New windscreen rubber.
Replace rusty fender apron on drivers side.
New performance air filters.
Simons sports exhaust system.
The interior presents well for its age with a very good head liner. It has the original recaro seats that came with the 123gt being a highly original car and not modified The car has the original rubber style carpet from factory and is worn so could do with replacing.
The paint can be described as good drivers paint.
Mechanically it is excellent. Brakes are now fantastic and the car stops superbly.
Car has been professionally polished.
