Welcome to the listing of my 2000 (x reg) navy blue VW Golf 1. 8 s Cabriolet. This car has been in the family for the last 10 years now.
Previously owned by my farther in law who passed it down to me. Unfortunately I have too many cars now and this one has to go to a new owner who will get a lot more enjoyment out of it. Currently on 105700 miles, will go up a small amount as i use the car once a week to go to work to keep it running.
12 months fresh MOT with no advisories. Car has been serviced every year in our family ownership and looked after. In the last year it has had new fuel pump and filter, new auxillery belts, new spark plugs. The cambelt was done at 100k miles.
For its age the car is in lovely condition and drives superbly. The car is very mechanical in the sense that it has manual roof, non-electric windows, no central locking etc. This is the way my farther in law liked his cars as meant less electrical gremilns could go wrong. The radio was placed with an aftermarket one for which plays CD's and has USB connectivity, the original radio is also available and will be supplied with the car upon sale. The roof is in excellent condition, no tears or leaks. Body work is in great condition.
2 sets of keys and lots of receipts and previous paperwork with the car , and a Haynes hardback manual. the original spare wheel and jack kit are also supplied with the vehicle.
Bad points - unfortunately every car of this age has them. The nearside rear light lense has a small crack in it, this doesn't not effect the use or visibility of the lights and water does not get in. The driver side door lock barrel use a different key to the rest of the car as the barrel broke many years ago (common on these). All keys supplied.
