an old ex british army barn find jeep, 1944 Devon registration, , incorect glovebox tags as it may be a ford tub fitted by the British Army and it has a lot of script f marks on seats engine gearbox et but I can fit a very acurate authentyic set of matching willys glovebox tags for the buyer at £100 extra , only 1 previouse owner before me and he was the man who bought the jeep from the British Army suplus sales in 1959 , he was a radio fanatic and I believe the no 19 radio set was fitted sometime in the 60s or 70s, chassis and excellent mechanicals all excellent , ford engine, willys chassis , the bodywork has some patches and filler but its a charming old cheerfully batterred jeep, 2 actual radio sets fitted, one still aperars to work or make noises when you flick the switch down, the engine and gearbox is smooth and quiet , brakes only just work and fuel supply is currently intrevenus drip so will need a proper recomision but can be driven around our farm to test it , Uk registeredthis jeep was purchased aprox 15 years ago from a deseased astate , it hadnt run for 10 years when purchased then spent 10 to 15 more years sitting berried in a tiny single garage in Exeter , I have now recomisioned the jeep enough to drive it and start and stop it, the mechanicals are in very nice order and the chassis is very solid with no signs of repair or thinninmg , the old ww2 body has some old repairs from decades back but only noticable by the trained eye and with patina generally comes some corrosion from age, this could be ignored , it took 80 years for a few little areas to rust so I cant see why it wont last the next 80 years providing you keep her dry
