Description
CAW 99B
Royale Drophead Convertible in Silver & Pewter.
This car was first Registered on 1st August 1973 as a Jaguar XJ6 and retains a 4235cc petrol engine and an automatic gearbox.
CAW 99B was built by John Power of St Helens in 1998 with many of the original Invoices remaining with the car. One of only 68 Dropheads produced.
This vehicle has been used as a Wedding Car for many years but retired in 2023 and has completed less than 300 miles in the past two years, despite this it passed its MOT test on 12th June 2025.
Ideal as a Brides car and pairs up with either Regent or an Imperial for the lucrative 2 car Wedding market. All the looks and elegance of a 1930's tourer but with a robust 4. 2l Jaguar engine.
There is an active Royale Owners Club which covers all three Royale models with the Drophead being the original design.
Has been maintained to a high mechanical level by Preston Jag Centre. John Barlow's goal in designing the Royale range of cars was to produced a hand built car, based on tried and trusted mechanicals and chassis, of a quality that reflected the charm of its period. Given that the Royale Drophead designs are over 30 years old it can be safely said he achieved this goal.
A really reliable car which always turns heads with plenty of chrome and timeless charm.
