Description

Advertised is our 1969 Volkswagen early T2 Baywindow Campervan in Two tone Blue and White color Combination, Registered on 24th March 1970. This Campervan a RHD Australian Import underwent a rebuild 12 years ago with G’Day Kombis which included a full respray, Interior re-trim, Gearbox Rebuild. A Brand New 1641 SSP engine with 2 big valve heads, high lift cam and New Old Stock 36 Del’lortos Carburettors, with a Python Stainless steel exhaust system. Also features CSP Disc Brakes on the front end and a lowered suspension. This Camper was converted to a high spec, deluxe wanderer spec, which was opted by the previous owners who Bought it from G’Day Kombis in 2013. The previous owners always garaged the camper and used it on trips to France, and we’ve also kept it inside ever since we’ve owned it. It’s in fantastic condition inside and out considering it was done 12 years ago.

On the inside of the camper van there are lights, fridge, uk Plug sockets which all run off of a Leisure battery which is recharged when the engine is running. The kitchen area features a good sized sink which runs from a 10 Litre water container under the sink. There is also a 2 ring gas hob, which runs off a small BBQ type gas cylinder under the sink aswell. There is a dining table inside which is detachable and can be moved out the way when not needed.

The van comfortably sleeps 4 people, with the back bench seat which folds down into a small double and of course the Pop Top which accommodates 2 more people. The Pop Top, has wooden boards which slide across with foam matting which forms part of the bed.

The camper has seat belts in the front and a Modern Kenwood Radio, with speakers in the front door cards. The previous owners opted for a vintage style wooden steering wheel to be put in the front, which does suit the camper very much so. The engine runs very well, and starts with no problems at all and everything works as it should. The camper itself has covered 59, 467 miles Since New, while the camper has only covered only 2, 000 miles since its rebuild in 2012. In this time the camper has been very well looked after. I do recommend a viewing as the photos really don’t show how lovely this Camper is.

I have documentation on the rebuild process with G’Day Kombis, which can be sent through if interested.
