Ford Mondeo ST220 rare 4 door non hatchback with rare sunroof. In very good condition and very well maintained. Owned 10 years. One of my collection of 4, this will be the second one to be sold, still leaving me with two the same and just as good. Full and complete paper trail from brand new, including a list and details of all 6 owners, every detailed receipt and detailed service record from new in large A4 file ( including original Ford service booklet ), every MOT paper record from new. Mileage 99, 000 myself having done 22, 000 miles in 10 years - It has been regularly and sparingly driven, and mostly garaged when not. Massive amount of new parts/ maintenance in last 12 months or 1000 miles - as follows - New full clutch kit and dual mass flywheel, New rear subframe complete with new bushes, Complete underbody de-scale and steam clean and full Lanoguard treatment ( In 2015 it was steam cleaned and waxoyled at the legendary Moorland Classic Cars ) , New front and rear droplinks, New track rod ends, New rear anti-roll bar D bushes, New rear uprated discs and pads and brake hoses, New rear wheel bearings, New front ASBO brake upgrade ( Focus ST ) with discs, pads, brake hoses, red calipers, New rear Falken tyres ( front tyres one third worn ), New Bosch battery, New spark plugs, fuel filter, pollen filter, air filter, Oil change and new Ford filter, New wipers, Gearbox oil drained and Castrol transmax filled, New vacuum purge valve, Engine coolant changed. In 2022 new rear brake calipers. In 2021 new front suspension arms, In 2020 new brake pipes front to rear, In 2016 new Koni shock absorbers and top mounts front and rear, It has high grade stainless steel back boxes and Y piece connected to original Ford centre section ( which was standard Ford quality stainless from new ). Air con re-charged at 96, 500 miles. For 2 years I ran the car on 30mm lowered H + R uprated springs ( These will come with the car as I returned to original Ford springs to avoid having to put boards down to go safely over lip on my driveway into garage - The Castle picture shows it on lowered springs ). The Mondeo ST220 is probably the best all round performance car Ford ever made, Jeremy Clarkson wondered why anyone would want anything else having driven it, but strangely undiscovered by many people. It was always a rarely seen car and even more so now, when I can go for months without seeing another. It handled and performed well when compared on the same twisty fast roads with my Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 and BMW E39 M5 when I owned them. Last year a ST220 was praised and sold well on TV's Bangers and Cash. It is a handsome car from all angles, and has aged well with todays offerings. 6 gear manual, manual handbrake, Cruise control, heated electric front seats, aircon/ climate control. 4 electric windows, folding mirrors and of course sun roof - all 4 of my ST220s had one as it gives when needed an open air driving experience and provides for a better open cabin feel. The car wants for nothing and drives and stops as it should. The history and provenance of this particular ST220 should be highly regarded and sought after by a collector, or merely appreciated by someone wanting one of the best out there for sale to use daily, knowing that it has been supremely cared for by its current owner for 10 years. MOT until April 2026 with no advisories. Update 31/ 7/ 25 - I noticed front tyres were scrubbing on outer edges - Today tracking done, steering wheel dead straight, and new Bridgestones on front , so now all new tyres. Update 23/ 8/ 25 - now been on sale for 2 months - looked today on Ebay, Autotrader and Gumtree. There is not a ST220 on sale in the UK to remotely touch this car, in terms of condition, history, provenance and work done. In fact there appears to be an ever diminishing amount of ST220s on sale anywhere - so perhaps people are hanging on to them and waiting for prices to surge upwards, which I confidently expect to happen in the next 3-5 years ( prices are already reaching £8000 at dealers ), or at last it has been discovered just how good these cars are and the owners of the ones remaining are reluctant to part with them. Anyway come the end of this month I shall be putting it SORN in the garage for the rest of this year, with different diamond cut silver ST220 alloy wheels.
