Description
1970 Triumph Herald 1360
BYP 69 H
Selling my Triumph Herald 1360 due to house being up for sale and therefore loss of my garage.
BYP 69 H was subject of an extensive body of restoration undertaken by previous owners and completed about seven years ago and has seen little use since. I purchased it in late 2023 from someone that bought it for his wife who didn't really like it and it sat unused in in his garage and his wife got a Triumph Dolomite. It was trailered home to my garage and I discovered that the Alternator plug connection had been forcibly removed whilst in storage and albeit the engine started there was no output so first job was replacement alternator . The Triumph has a three rail four speed gearbox with synchro on 2nd to 4th gear only and as the remote bushes were a bit worn I decided to have gearbox rebuilt . BYP 69H is in overall good / very good condition underneath and everywhere including roof lining, seats etc, starts straight away and drives well but being crash box on first and reverse is somewhat harsh when you pull away. The only other thing to mention is that like most Heralds of the era the doors could do with adjustment but being a widower in my late 70's it is not a job I can tackle single handed.
My description is honest and together with pictures hopefully allows you to see what the vehicle is like. Please don't hesitate to make contact if you have any questions or wish to view the car - LOCATION IS MABLETHORPE, LINCOLNSHIRE
I will attempt to get some further pictures and will update further if I am able
