Exterior:
The car still boasts its original solid Tabasco Red paintwork. The Westmoreland Front End is all original and sets off nicely against the Deluxe Chrome Trim bumpers. To make the car UK legal it benefits from NOS Hella RHD headlights. At the rear are Postie Rear lights, rare themselves, which suit the paintwork.

Interior:
Inside is an all original Red Leatherette interior, everything is red! No rips, tears or sagging to the seats. On the dashboard is an extremely rare Optional Dash Cover, these sell for £400+ if you can find one. There is also Safari Quarter-lights, unfortunately the glass has de-bonded, but still hold in place and small marks to the rear of the Headliner.

Chassis:
With the exterior and interior being virtually untouched for 40 years, mechanically improvements have been made to get the car driving better. All bushings in the front have been replaced by Powerflex bushes. H&R Ultra Series Coilovers with Camber Adjusting Top mounts are fitted, they’re the best in the game for lowering and ride quality. With the car sitting lower, the chassis has been notched to allow clearance for driveshafts. Tie Rod Flip Kit and Ball Joint Extender's are present to keep the steering sharp and give a decent response through the wheel. The Rear Top mounts are also polybushes. While all the suspension components were off, the wishbones, hubs and brake shrouds were given a refresh and painted black. To aid fitment in the rear, the Mk1 benefits from a Narrowed Rear Beam with stub axle spacers.

Engine:
Having bought the car in July 2018 as a non runner, work had been carried out to rebuild the engine and bring it up to the same standard as the rest of the car. On inspection the original Bottom End had to be replaced due to a cracked oil gallery. A new low mileage Scirocco replacement was sourced. A rebuild was carried out using the original cylinder head, replacing multiple components including Radiator, Exhaust and Fuel Lines to name a few. The US Smog Equipment and EGR Valve has been removed as well to improve reliability. During the rebuild the Engine Cover and Belt Covers were painted as well.

Please bare in mind the car is 45 years old, with original paint, so there are a few stone chips and signs of wear. However it’s still a car of show quality and has won many awards in its time, which is a testament to it.

I’m in no particular rush to sell the car but as my other project nears completion, I think it’s time for someone else to enjoy it. I’m open to serious offers and have many spare parts I can include for the right price.
