The BMW was already restored by the previous owner in the 1980s, has been reliably driven for many decades and has been in his possession since 1976! The machine is in great condition and leaves hardly anything to be desired! Only a handful of machines from this early series are still known! The first series differs from the later models in many features and components. The traceable history back to the 1950s and the pictures of the found condition show that this is a very good unit. The first vehicles were manufactured at the same time as the tubular frame BMW R62 and have the identical engine number range including engine, carburettor and gearbox.
