E30 March 1989, 2. 0 straight six with 5 speed manual box.
Built and raced a full season in the Production BMW (PBMW) championship back in 2014.
Then kept as the ‘spare’ car as we deemed the car (orange one) too good to race.
Running on Toyo R888R with fully adjustable AVO suspension.
The car was last raced at Silverstone in 2017 by my son, giving us a father and son entry.
We love the car so much that efforts were made to get it road legal with MOT. The car is now simply one of my classic collection of 10 cars and little used. It is amazing, when out for a drive on road or track. The engine (for the PBMW championship) is standard, but balanced etc. very driveable on the road, but a tad noisy inside with all trim removed, no steering lock. Overall the car is in remarkable condition with a very sound shell. Some minor paintwork would bring it up a notch, but in so doing it may loose the patina of former racing.
The finish and attention to detail is top rate – must be seen.
The engine was rebuilt in 2022 with new bearings, oil pump etc. little used since. This car is stunning – come and have a look.
