Originally exported to USA in 1974 but imported back to UK in 2015 when purchased by current owner. Has been subject of a complete body off restoration. UK registration allocated in 2020.
Chassis refurbished and powder coated by CTM in Southampton and full bare metal repaint by RCP of York.
Converted to righthand drive.
Engine rebuilt with uprated cam shaft, converted to unleaded petrol with increased compression ratio and new rocker gear.
Engine bearings, oil pump, piston rings and thrus thrust washers replaced.
Original carbs replaced with SU HS6.
Electronic ignition, new coil, fuel pump and high torque starter fitted.
Stainless steel exhaust manifold and exhaust system fitted.
New oil seals to engine, gearbox and back axle.
Rebuilt overdrive.
New springs and front shock absorbers.
New clutch and universal joints.
Copper fuel and brake lines.
Suspension poly bushed.
New brake parts and tyres.
New wiper motor and blades.
Interior refurbished with new dashboard and carpets.
New seat belts.
New wiring loom and uprated headlights.
New hood.
Many other parts replaced. Less than 500 miles since rebuild. Still running in.
Registered as an historic vehicle so MOT and tax exempt.
Has current MOT until June 2026.
Restoration done to provide improvements but also preserve originality.
