Reluctant sale of this 1999 Z3 2. 8 litre Roadster in desirable Oxford Green with matching hardtop.
I purchased this Z3 3 years ago from a friend who owned and cherished it for 9 years, never drove it in the rain and only put the hood up once! In my ownership I have Dynax injected the cills, taken out the inner wings to waxoil and Hammerite the underbody and suspension. The brakes have been overhauled with new pads and stainless steel brake hoses. The coolant has been flushed and replenished, recent plugs, oil and filter change. K & N air filter installed. The hood is like new and was reproofed last year, having the benefit of a works hardtop it has seen little use during my ownership. There is a tonneau for the hood when it is folded (see photo) and a windstop. The BBS split rim alloys are a rare optional extra, plus there is a spare set of alloys with good tyres. CD changer in boot. New battery. Bentley workshop manual, plus some spares. MOT until 18th June 2026 with no advisories.
This is a genuine Z3 in remarkable condition both inside and out. The 2. 8 litre engine is the desirable twin Vanos unit and has only done 78k in 26 years. This Z3 attracts favourable comments and attention. It is cheap to insure on a classic car policy.
The reason for selling is I don’t get the chance to use it much, being an MG enthusiast I find that I am using my MG to go to MG Car Club events, whilst the Z3 waits in the garage. Z3 aficionados have valued it at £7000, so I am open to offers near £6995.
