Description
Price reduction. The car is an MX5 MK1 1. 8 Pitcrew in dark metallic blue. Recorded mileage is 112k, reads in Kms as started life in Japan.
It has been modified by previous owners, with some history in a file. The car drives and handles really well and pulls cleanly through the gears, very reliable, good battery, fitted immobiliser.
Modifications:
Sway bars
16 inch Italian RVS wheels with 4 good 205/ 45/ 16 tyres.
Short shifter
Custom interior, seats and door cards nice condition (not leather)
Wood steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake.
GAZ coil overs.
Engine immobiliser
Blue mohair hood is in good condition, plastic window is ok, no rips, but discoloured a little.
Screen tint at top
Side windows tinted but legal.
Machined clocks, dials and steering wheel.
Retro switches
Silver Cobra style stripes (I like em but easy to remove)
New radiator
New headlights
Slotted and drilled disc brakes all round
Electric chrome mirrors working
Electric windows working ( if a little slow)
Pitcrew' rear mirror
Pitcrew' single wiper arm
Chrome single hoop roll bar
Sound deadening and chassis rails.
'Pitcrew' front end Japanese kit I think
Please note the AC has been deleted and the radio does not work. Body work is good and solid, with a few age related marks but pretty good, recent MoT required minor welding, literally the size of a washer in engine bay and same at nearside rear wheel, MoT sounded harsher than it was but fixed professionally in under two hours and passed MoT, current, 11 months remaining.
The thing that makes this stand out is the 'Pitcrew' conversion, which is a bit like 'Marmite' in that you love it or hate it.
I own another really nice MK1 so gonna sell this one.
I'm open to offers, will consider exchange for a MX5 NB 1. 8 ltd Sport, Arizona, Silver Jasper Conran, turbo or supercharger, what have you . Plus cash from me for the right car, mine was advertised elsewhere last year for 10k.
A local specialist had cameras in the sills, and said they're good for a few years yet.
