1970 Volkswagen Microbus, recent 1776cc engine, registered as an 8 Seater historic vehicle with DVLA.
The bus was imported into the UK from South Africa in 2018 so has a good solid body and chassis for a 55 year old vehicle.
Really nice interior, fitted in South Africa, never seen another like it, although some of the cab carpets need replacing.
I purchased the bus in 2018, fitting a new 1776 engine was fitted in June 2019 with a “quiet pack” exhaust which gets it along the road very nicely and sounds great.
Complete new brake system professionally fitted in 2024. The bus has had a new loom from the engine bay forward to the fuse board, steering totally overhauled with lots of new parts. Gearbox and gearshify is good, CV’s replaced or serviced, stonechipped underneath, lots of work done, too much to list.
MOT, TAX ULEZ AND LEZ EXEMPT.
Having spent all this time and money getting it straight, we have decided to move house and it has to be sold. It would make a fabulous wedding car (see photos) you could convert it into day van or a full blown camper, or enjoy using as it is, either way, a good honest solid base to take on to the next level
