The car has covered a genuine 36k miles from new having been purchased from H. A. Fox Norwich and remained with it's first owner for 24 years. It comes with all paperwork/ manuals including a documented Jaguar history and original purchase receipt.
It was placed into dry storage for some 12 years. There is no rust or body filler. It has never been welded. It does not need welding.
Over the last few months it has been subject to a comprehensive yet sympathetic recommissioning programme - too much detail to list here but happy to chat through with potential buyers.
The S-Type is fast becoming a modern classic, and rightfully so. This particular example represents an almost unique opportunity to purchase an unmolested 'survivor' which, as luck would have it, is in arguably the best colour/ specification. Having had many wonderful and interesting cars in my lifetime (including several Jaguars) I can hand on heart say this is the most original, 'correct' car I have ever had the pleasure of owning and driving. It honestly smells, feels and drives like a new car.
We are only selling as our current lifestyle doesn't suit this car - in essence it's too good! Whist we could put it back into storage our preference would be for it to find a new owner who appreciates what it is and enjoys it. These really are meant to be driven!

The S-Type was developed under the internal codename “X200” and launched in 1999 as part of Jaguar’s strategy to expand its model range and appeal to a broader executive market. It was intended to revive the spirit of the original 1963 S-Type, a car known for its elegant curves and sporting character. The design team, led by Geoff Lawson, drew heavily on this legacy.
The AJ-V6 engine family, including the 3. 0-litre AJ30, was based on the Duratec V6, which itself originated from a Porsche design. Ford acquired the design and collaborated with Cosworth to develop a proprietary cylinder head tailored to Jaguar’s performance and refinement goals.
Jaguar engineers further refined the engine with aluminium DOHC cylinder heads, variable valve timing (VVT), and sequential multi-port fuel injection enabling a smooth 240bhp and 300NM torque allowing the car to complete 0-60 in 7. 3 seconds and reach over 140mph.
The S-Type Jaguar is increasingly recognised by collectors for its unique styling and historical significance. It is is more than just a car—it’s a statement of timeless British design and engineering.
