This lovely and cherished example of a low mileage Defender 90 300tdi Hardtop had only 2 owners before I acquired it in 2004, the previous registration just being the dealer. I have driven only 4800 miles since then. The current mileage reading is 57983. The Landy has always been more of a hobby vehicle than a daily runner because it is so rewarding just to maintain, repair and improve it. I have never taken it off-road. Why am I selling? Damage to my left knee means that using the clutch is painful. In fact, before fitting the LOF PowerSpring it was almost impossible.
The vehicle was resprayed before I acquired it, keeping its original LR colours of Coniston Green and Ivory White. It has been regularly checked over by Rockingham Motors (until they recently closed), who carried out all the major repairs. These include a new timing belt and rear cross member replacement.
I have all MOT and service history/ receipts, and several workshop manuals are included in the sale.

The underbody has been de-rusted and treated with Waxoil and Tetraseal and further protected by Lanoguard. This includes the bulkhead and the door interiors. In addition, I have replaced many of the fittings, such as bonnet and hinge bolts, with stainless steel. This is a classic Landy 300tdi Defender that would be a joy to drive and work on for a new owner. It is essentially original and is a superb, sound platform for anyone who would enjoy making further refinements. On the other hand, the low mileage and service history means this has the potential to be a workhorse, with many years of reliability ahead.
