I’ve owned the vehicle for nearly three years and used it lightly as a second vehicle. It’s been extremely reliable and economical to operate.
The truck was originally part of an insurance claim in the US after a New Jersey dealership site was affected by flooding in 2018. This vehicle was not damaged but was written off as part of a group claim. It passed its UK SVA test in November 2020 and was correctly converted for UK lighting standards prior to registration. A CARFAX report confirms the US background and it was HPI clear at the time of UK purchase. It has never presented any electrical or mechanical issues.

I considered a Dodge Ram, but it just felt too big for UK roads. The GMC Canyon struck the right balance — still a proper US pickup with real presence, but far more usable day to day. The Camaro V6 under the bonnet sealed the deal, but what really drew me in was the story behind the truck. It had a bit of history, and I loved it straight away. You don’t see many of these here, which adds to the charm — it stands out without being over the top. It’s been totally dependable, surprisingly refined, and genuinely enjoyable to own.
