Mk1 Ford Escort 2 door Mexico Rep reluctantly for sale after 13 years of fun ownership. Registered in August 1974 as an 1100L the car has been transformed into a Mexico Spec, 1600 cc Crossflow engine, 4 speed 1600 Sport gearbox, 3. 5. 4 diff, Olympic Blue paintwork. Recently had a complete restoration of the engine bay including many new panels including a new n/ s inner wing, front panel, slam panel, radiator supports, heater plenum chamber, Mexico strut tops. The body is in very good shape, the car drives nicely and brakes firmly - a great car that attracts lots of attention.
The mileage is not as shown, it had a new 130 mph speedo, this is its miles since.
Interior - new roof lining, recent top dash recover in leather, new 1 piece carpet, door rubbers, switches, front seats beta cloth from a Mk2 1600 Sport and of course fluffy dice. All make it nice to ride in as well as look at!
Suspension all Bilstein inserts front and back, recent springs.
Exhaust - 105 Speed stainless including manifold.
Battery relocated to boot.

The car is a well used vehicle so not pristine but has plenty of show prizes. There is no polishing underneath for example, it’s been protected every 2 years or so using Lanoguard rust protection. This car is a real eye catcher, if you don’t enjoy talking to people don’t bother with this car!!
