For sale 2001 Mini Cooper R50 Y registration. Pure Silver. Tested. This is an early production #446 Mini Cooper R50 owned by me since Oct 2018.
I bought it without any service history whatever and it has been an enjoyable and reliable hobby car since then.
I have covered about 7k in that time and looked after the car myself and via my local garage at need.
To be clear it had no service history when I bought it and beyond garage receipts for work i couldn't do myself it still doesn't. Its been a pleasure to own and had what it needed over the years.
It has a no advisory mot due to expire in late Sept 2025. It has been continually tested in my ownership.
Have a look at the Mot history via the dvla website.
I have either to retest it when due and keep it sat doing very little, sorn it and leave it in the garage long term or pass it on to a new keeper who can take it to the next level.
Dont be put off my the short Mot as theres no ulterior motive here. We have just bought another car and we now have three for the two of us.
I will most likely sorn this car in the next couple of days.
Although admittedly I could do with the space, money isn't the issue and I really don't mind which way it goes. However as these early cars are of some interest and are becoming difficult to find at other than stupid prices........... here it is for sale.
Lets start with the negatives such as they are.
It is an older car and the paintwork could do with a lift here and there abouts with the bonnet certainly in need of a respray or replacement.
The air con has never worked in my ownership and I haven't investigated it. Not important to me.
Alloys and interior have a few marks here and there but nothing to make you grind your teeth too loudly about.
Thats about it when you consider this is a 24 year old car.
On the positive side.
It runs sweetly enough with no engine or gearbox issues.
Sought after front/ rear leather seats.
CD changer and original type radio.
Very rare sought after oddments trays.
Very rare boot liner.
Sought after rubber boot mats.
Working tilt and slide sun roof.
Twin stainless steel spots fitted last year.
Rare spare wheel carrier and tool set.
MINI embossed accelerator pedal.
MINI cleaning bag/ kit
Solid underneath.
I also have original MINI embossed pedal rubbers which may be included.
