Description
Lotus Elan M100 S2 1994 number 220
Very little point in telling you about M100 Elans if you au are looking at this I am sure you have done your homework.
Medina Green with cream leather interior, very much of the period. Private plate L666 ELN which will go with the car.
This is my wife’s car she has owned it since 2015 it has been regularly serviced and only lightly used as a toy on sunny days. We are building a new house so will not have a garage when we move also as you see from the history it has been used less over the years doing less that 400miles since the last service. We bought it from someone who was obsessively fastidious about it and it lived in a plastic greenhouse thing in his garage who became too ill to use it. He also produced a lever arch file with all the history of the car including the old road tax discs. From then it is just a file of receipts plus the service book which is now totally full.
Low mileage (49k miles) well looked after honest car, very original unrestored/ non messed with, we believe the paint carpets and even hood are as from the factory. There are some stone chips on the front of the car and wheel arches and an area of paint that is damaged, we took the view the paint being original was better than the odd chip. I have tried to show these on the pictures, but I can point these out when people view the car. I have the original Sony CD/ radio but fitted a later unit that takes MP3s. The Sony is better quality and for some reason has a remote control as well? The exhaust has been replaced with a stainless steel one and the front discs changed for drilled types. Other than that it is an honest original 1994 M100.
It has been looked after by Lakeside Engineering in Byfleet, Lotus specialists and I am sure Tim would be happy to discuss the car with anyone who is considering the vehicle. It has been very reliable over the years the only issues have been a cam position sensor and a headlamp motor rebuild the rest has been consumables during services.
It comes with a battery conditioner (it has a wired in plug to the car with a condition indicator), a breathable car cover, and a cover for the soft top which a sort of hat when it is stored?
Any questions just ask
