Description

Nice little D10 Bantam (the 10hp one) very reliable and well sorted mechanically. Matching numbers.

I’ve spent a fortune on it.

It’s not a show-pony, but looks great from a couple of yards. It has been an excellent little runabout for me and has never missed a beat during the 500 miles (two years) since I rebuilt it.

V5 in my name, as is the original buff logbook from 1967. Original supplying dealer’s badge still on bike (Miles of Hull).

Details of work I have carried out (@12, 056 mls):

What’s not perfect:
Tank has a couple of small dents.
Rims are a pitted (but perfect inside).
Paintwork is nine out of ten.
Like most bantams, fork seals are incapable of preventing leaks!
And also like most Bantam’s, there’s an occasional judder in second under very hard acceleration when it half jumps out of gear and instantaneously back in again- could probably do with a new detent spring - but it’s only occasional and not a problem at all.

Collection from Berwick-upon-Tweed. The bike is perfectly capable of being ridden home, though, a rider would probably struggle with anything more than 100 miles!
