Descrição
Imported from South Africa, there is no rust or rot and the car is generally very sound. Much work has been done on restoring the mechanics and brakes system. It has hydraulic brakes to the front, a 4 speed column change, and stands on 4 good tyres. A small amount of repair to the front seat can be done, though the interior is very presentable, with good carpets and leather seating. The car drives well and I have been using it, though not going too far as it needs a spare wheel. This, and a new rubber trim for the rear window are the only expenses required which I can find. The paint work is very good, though a respray to the roof would remove a patch of yellow applied previously . This car must be one of the earliest Javelins on the road. The Javelin has been my favourite car of all time, no. 1 on my wish list. Unfortunately, the garage I had arranged for it was not available due to the passing of the owner, and the car is too good to stand outside. I can't put it in my own garage as my Ford Popular occupies it with a partly dismantled engine. It is a lovely car which I would rather keep, but I haven't the room for it.
